What journey did La Comba take?
In 1990, Juan Lucena got started in the industry, earning his first spores in the fruit and vegetable agency business. In 1994, he set up La Comba GmbH Fruchtgroßhandel. Juan’s son Marc Lucena later followed the founder’s steps and is now a member of the company management. The growing success of the importers for Spanish fruit and vegetables led the company to the next boost in quality in 2009, when La Comba applied for certification according to IFS Broker for the first time and straight away received the special acknowledgement of meeting the requirements set out in the ISF Food »at Higher Level«. Since 2017, La Comba has pursued more new ideas than ever before, expanding, for example, the company’s marketing activities – among other things by launching a fresh internet site.
»La Comba« can be translated with »skipping« or »skipping rope«. Along with the pleasurable Spanish sound of the word, positive associations, such as exercise, good health and joy of living, were the motivations for choosing La Comba for our company name. The logo was inspired by artistic illustrations from Spain, the stylised rope skipper representing the company’s activity and flexibility. What canLa Comba do for you?
